Five Minute Friday - Here

It's time for the "Five Minute Friday" blogging post. The inspiration comes from Lisa Jo Baker

What you do is set your timer for five minutes and write whatever you want according to the prompt Lisa places on her blog every Friday. Then you go back, link your blog and give support to those who posted before you. And, we connect on Twitter with #FiveMinuteFriday.

Ready.
Set.
Go.

Here is a pretty important place to be. You aren't gone. You aren't waiting. You aren't thinking ahead. You are here in all your ordinary glory. Live in the here and now as much as you can. Don't get caught up in what was or could be. You'll only drive yourself crazy that way. Live for today. Live for this moment. Live for now. The rest of the world will take care of itself in its own time and place. Have faith that it will and it will. Have faith that you will have all that you need for the here and now and you will.

I wish more people would listen to these words and apply them to their lives. We'd have less stress and less irritation among others. Anxiety would drift away. I could use so anxiety drifting away. I'm trying to learn how to get along in my life in the here and now without anti-anxiety medication. It's rough and pit-ridden. The littlest thing can set me off on an an anxiety-ridden trip.

Stop.

Click on the Five Minute Friday logo below and see what others have written for their prompt. Have a great day.

I often struggle with living in the present and not dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Thank you for the reminder to live here in this day. It is a gift!

So important to just wait and trust. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here today.

Ugh, I so needed this today. As I sit watching the sleety rain and wanting today to pass so that sunny tomorrow can get here. And today is quiet - the older one is at Grandma's house and it's just the napping baby and me. And it's a bliss of a different kind.

It's such a fine line of looking forward to the future yet not being in a hurry for it.
